In „Adorno“, portugiesisch für „Schmuck“, „Verzierung“ oder „Dekoration“, stellt Alice Ripoll dem Zeitalter der Algorithmen das zutiefst Menschliche gegenüber: ornamentale Gesten, wechselhafte Launen und spontane Gelüste – eben jene scheinbar trivialen Ausschmückungen, mit denen jede*r das Leben auf eigene Weise zeichnet. Die Berlin-Premiere von Alice Ripolls Performance ist gleichzeitig der Auftakt zu der neuen Reihe „wielding fissures – carving cracks in the surface of the now“ im Radialsystem.
Auf der Suche nach Verbindung in der Unterschiedlichkeit geht die Choreografin der Frage nach, wie sich ein „Wir“ denken lässt, wenn unter acht Milliarden Menschen keine zwei identisch sind. Das Publikum wird von einer ungestümen Gruppe getragen, die sich wie der Lauf der Geschichte selbst in Wellen vor- und rückwärts bewegt. Die Szenen entfalten sich in einer traumartigen Atmosphäre und konfrontieren uns mit dem, was wir als einzigartig empfinden: unsere Erinnerungen, unsere Körper, unsere Zuneigungen – unsere inneren Gezeiten.

Biographies
Alice Ripoll is a choreographer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her work is rooted in contemporary dance and urban dance styles from Brazil. Through her research, she creates a space in which the dancers transform their individual experiences and memories into images. She currently leads the two ensembles Cia. REC and Cia. SUAVE.
Cia REC was founded in 2009 and is a powerful group of artists from the ghetto who develop and reinterpret contemporary art. The group consists of artistic director Alice Ripoll and the performers Alan Ferreira, Hiltinho Fantástico, Katiany Correia, Tamires Costa, Tony Hewerton, Tuany Nascimento and Romulo Galvão. Their work is presented at numerous festivals in Brazil, Europe, the USA, Japan and Canada.
