In extensive research, singer and performer Mariana Sadovska has made field recordings in Ukrainian villages over the years, exploring various singing techniques forgotten in the collective memory. These archive recordings flow into a compositional dialogue between Sadovska and the composer and percussionist Max Andrzejewski. An evening that meanders between experimental pop, noise, ancient and contemporary music. Meditatively, it circles around the dark, the wound, the pain, the revolt. The audience enters the concert space through electronic sound installations by Marta Zapparoli, who deals with Sadovska's archive recordings in her own way.

We would like to announce that a solidarity concert will take place on 23 March 2022 at the Akademie der Künste, centred around the concert project “Songs of Wounding,” which premiered at Radialsystem in December 2021.
