An invitation to myriad artistic interventions and dialogues has been issued by the mentoring programme “Forecast”, which promotes the transdisciplinary exchange of forward-looking artistic ideas on an international scale. The festival, the pinnacle of the programme’s sixth edition, takes place from 8 to 9 April at Radialsystem. The festival introduces six new projects created by artists, performers, designers, choreographers and creative thinkers in collaboration with their internationally renowned mentors over the past ten months. Dance performances, installations, interactive artworks and sensory experiences are presented throughout the building, as are discussions and workshops.

Installation in the Keller // Reading in the Halle: Friday, 7 pm
Turkish-American media artist and graphic novelist Özge Samancı is working on a graphic novel centered on a murder mystery. The plot is set in Istanbul ahead of the 1995–96 elections, as a conservative party rises to power using religion to cynically appeal to voters.

Performance in Studio A: Friday and Saturday 7.30–9 pm
French dancer and choreographer Flora Détraz is creating a live performance for percussion and voice centered on the act of screaming.

Performance in the Halle: Saturday, 9 pm
Romanian choreographer Simona Deaconescu is collaborating with Malagasy choreographer Gaby Saranouffi on the dance performance Ramanenjana, which looks at the 1863 “dancing plague“ in Madagascar.

Architectures of Inclusion and Exclusion: Luísa Sol (Mentee) & Tatiana Bilbao (Mentor)
Saal
Portuguese architect Luísa Sol is working on a multimedia installation that reflects on screen-based images of the home and the domestic sphere, and the storytelling contained within them.

Dashboards for Posthuman Life: Jaya Klara Brekke (Mentee) & Francesca Bria (Mentor)
Studio B
Theorist and designer Jaya Klara Brekke is creating fictional data feeds that help users to better understand the impact of their actions on the environment and their own privacy.
