A solo acoustic performance by Lukas de Clerck dives into speculative music reimagining the aulos – an ancient Greco-Roman double-reed pipe for which we have no sonic record. Creating replicas of the instrument thanks to the written archive, De Clerck opens-up the aulos to personal and collaborative sonic experimentation, reaching into microtonality, psychoacoustics, raw textures, abrasive drones.
Dror Feiler channels his uncompromising engagement with politics and resistance into his new project "No IS". Joined by his NO Orchestra, high-pressure sonic fields collide with the poetry of Ghayath Almadhoun, speaking from the wound of exile, war, and ongoing destruction that the world prefers to describe as "the way things are". Together, noise and poetry create a field of resistance: Noise as rupture of the audible world. Poetry as rupture of the linguistic world. Together they say: The world cannot remain as it is.

Lukas De Clerck haucht einem Instrument neues Leben ein, das lange Zeit als verstummt galt. Er beschäftigt sich in seiner Arbeit mit dem Aulos, einer antiken griechisch-römischen Doppelrohrflöte, die seit über einem Jahrtausend nicht mehr gespielt wird. In jahrelanger akribischer Arbeit der Rohrblattfertigung, des experimentellen Designs und der instrumentellen Spielpraxis versucht er, ihren verlorenen Klang wiederherzustellen. Sein jüngstes Album „The Telescopic Aulos of Atlas“ versucht eine zeitgenössische Neuinterpretation des Instruments, indem archäologische Spekulationen in experimentelle Klangforschung überführt wird.
Dror Feiler ist Komponist, Saxophonist, bildender Künstler und politischer Aktivist. Er wurde in Tel Aviv geboren und lebt seit 1973 in Schweden. Seine Arbeit umfasst Komposition, Performance, Noise-Musik und großformatige Klanginstallationen und zeichnet sich durch ein kompromissloses Engagement für Politik, Konflikt und Widerstand aus. In seinen Werken behandelt er Klang häufig als Material, Kraft und Dauer. Feiler ist international in Europa, Amerika, dem Nahen Osten und Japan aufgetreten und hat dort ausgestellt.
