20 Jahre Radialsystem: Temporary Title, 2026 – In the Middle, Somewhat Rehearsed
Exhibition by Xavier Le Roy
Exhibition Performance
“Temporary Title, 2026 – In the Middle, Somewhat Rehearsed” is a work by Xavier Le Roy, presented for the first time as a rehearsal process open to the public as part of “20 Years of Radialsystem,” before premiering at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in November 2026.
In this environment, composed of a mosaic of carpets in varied patterns and colours, movement, sculpture, matter, and sound come together to weave relationships founded on presence. On the Deck of Radialsystem, visitors can enter and exit freely, while the 14 performers embody and incorporate a succession of metamorphoses that transform both their presence and the space, creating various ways of being together.

Biographies
Xavier Le Roy holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and has been working as an artist since 1991. He is also a professor at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Giessen. His early solo works opened up new perspectives in choreography. With the aim of broadening our perspective, his work transforms our understanding of dichotomies such as human/non-human, subject/object, passive/active, normal/abnormal, as well as questioning the relationships between seeing, listening and understanding. His works have been presented internationally, including at the Taipei Performing Arts Center, the Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017, the Fundació Tapies (Barcelona), MoMA (New York), the Kaldor Public Art Projects (Sydney), the Centre Pompidou (Paris), and the Biennale di Venezia Danza.

Further Information
20 Jahre
