The workshop with the title “THE KNOWING BODY” is presented as a space for experimentation centred on improvisation and movement. Different techniques related to the laws of physics and the functioning of the body are explored. It starts from the unknown to investigate new possibilities, understanding the body as an open field of discovery and transformation.
The workshop takes place in collaboration with Making a Difference and will be led by Diana Niepce, whose work HORNFUCKERS will be presented at Radialsystem on 22 and 23 August, 2026.

Language
The workshop will be held in spoken English. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a translation into German Sign Language (DGS).
Target Group
The workshop is aimed at professionals and semi-professionals in the performing arts, as well as people with disabilities.
Please bring water and comfortable clothing.

Biographies
Diana Niepce ist Choreografin, Tänzerin, Kuratorin und Autorin. Sie absolvierte die Escola Superior de Dança, ein Erasmus-Programm an der Teatterikorkeakoulu in Helsinki und erwarb einen Master in Kunst und Kommunikation an der Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Sie ist assoziierte Künstlerin am Espaço do Tempo und entwickelte u.a. „Forgotten Fog“ (2015), „Raw a nude“ (2019), „12 979 Dias“ (2019), „Dueto“ (2020), T4 (2020), „Anda, Diana“ (SPA-Preis, 2021), „The Other Side of Dance“ (2022), „Enfreakment“ (2024), „Utopia“ (2024), „Norm“ (2024) und „HORNFUCKERS“ (2026). Als Kuratorin war sie am Zyklus „Political Bodies“ (2024, Culturgest) und am Projekt „Reunião“ (2025) beteiligt.

Tanz im August, präsentiert von HAU Hebbel am Ufer, ist ein Festival für zeitgenössischen Tanz in Berlin. Das 1989 gegründete Festival bietet ein internationales Angebot an zeitgenössischen Tanzperformances, anerkannten Kompanien, innovativen Choreograf*innen sowie neuen Ästhetiken und Formaten aus aller Welt.
