The new performance "UNREST", presented by choreographer Sergiu Matis as part of Tanzfabrik Berlin's festival "Open Spaces – Making It Happen #2", conjures old demons to face the fear of an uncertain future. In their search for answers to the problems of the 21st century – whether they take the form of climate change, right-wing populist tendencies or social collapse – the protagonists are haunted by ancient myths. Staged as rustling chaos and precisely arranged randomness, "UNREST" asks the question: Which are the pasts that shape the present and the memories that form identities? A film adaptation of the stage version was created at radialsystem; this world premiere is now available online.
